For many people the Serpent Mound in Ohio would be simply a hill in the shape of a snake, but for those who like to watch Ancient Aliens (like us crazy people ) this place is a big deal! Anyway, the story of this sacred for American Indians place starts, when a meteor fell here 256 million years ago. The first evidence of human activity started here around 13000 BCE and already about 300 BCE the Adena Culture considered the place sacred and made several burial grounds. Obviously, they couldn't have known about the meteor, but somehow the place still inspired them... or maybe it was no meteor at all? The quote from one of the info boards in the park "The Serpent Mound crater doesn't look much like other known impact craters"...

Rosslyn Chapel is famous for being one of the locations in Da Vinci Code, and there are reasons for that! It was founded in 1446 and built by Masters of Scottish Freemasons.

If you ever wondered where the stories in the Bible's Genesis come from, here it is. One of the most famous is the story about Noah and the flood and in Sumerian mythology it is told in a LOT more detail! It is called the Epic of Atrahasis. There is another version that is included in the well-known Epic of Gilgamesh.

Stonehenge Cursus is supposedly the first thing that was made for this complex, built long before the stones were even erected. I wonder what it was and why it so strickinly resembles Nazca Lines....
